- Adults and children: Spread a layer of cream liberally over the sore and surrounding area as soon as the tingling starts.
- Apply the cream 5 times daily for 5 days. If the sore has not healed, continue the treatment for another 5 days. If symptoms still persist, consult your doctor.
Warnings
Caution before using Cold Sore Cream with Aciclovir 5%:
Cold sores are infectious. Always wash your hands after touching cold sores, or applying cold sore remedies.
Avoid touching your eyes. Women are advised to be especially careful when applying make-up.
Do not use if you are pregnant or are breast feeding unless your doctor advises.
Side Effects
Side effects of Cold Sore Cream with Aciclovir 5%:
Cold Sore Cream may cause temporary burning or stinging after application of the cream to the affected area, mild drying, flaking, itching or redness of the skin may occur in some patients.
